Thornhill-based Choir, the Dalgarno Singers, are busy preparing for their annual Supper Concert, which takes place in the Bailey Hall at Wallace Hall Academy, Thornhill, near Dumfries, on Saturday 23rd February, at 7.30pm.

Music Director, Rory McLatchie said, 'Our Concert is based around American Composers, and I've called this year's concert: "A Journey To America".

'Our audience will be in for a treat with an interesting and varied programme of music with an American theme: some well-known pieces from "West Side Story", Irving Berlin's "America", and "Old American Songs" by Aaron Copland.'

The Dalgarno Singers, which has recently welcomed some new members to the Choir, will end this year's Supper Concert with "Everlasting Melody" by Rollo A. Dilworth, a high-energy piece in a gospel style, celebrating singing and music in general, after which a light buffet supper will be served.
